MX Banshee

CT-370LR

Recommended Posts

Bent my swingarm last weekend, I guess I may have landed too hard from a jump and maybe a little crooked.... Maybe it was just weak and getting old!! But hell the TCS shock has only bottomed once when I cased it and did not notice the bend then.... But, after inspecting my frame, I noticed a weld being stressed.. So I am thinking that it may be time for a Laeger frame for the mighty Shee!!! I am in wonder as to how much better the 250R geometry is for MX? Can someone please explain this to me.. I have been told so many times how Shees are not made for MX and so forth because of their geometry and $hit!! But when I go tro inquire what they are talking about, their is usually not a straight reply!!

My motor is setup to fly, but back in need of some fine tuning! I went cryting to an engine builder and he advanced my timing 11

what ratio are you mixing your gas and oil at? is it possible that youre mixing too rich and a lot of it is just blowing out the exhaust?? as for mxing your banshee id just buy a -2 swinger and some good aftermarket arms and be done with it. then youd have money left to do a ton of other shit. those 250r geometry frames are like 2500 bucks arent they??

Does the 2 into 1 35 mm carb work worth a crap with a 370LR motor w/pro design cool-heads running 17cc domes?? Will this kill my top end portion of the power band? I know it will be easier to jet, but will it choke my motor?? Thanx for the educated replies!!

It'll work awesome. ;)

I too mix my gas 40:1, with Castor927...have for over 4 years now & I'm still running the stock topend & everything...have the head milled .030 though. I'd say you're definately on the right track going up on the mains, may even be able to go up some more. Do a plug chop & take a look to see...as far as the timing, I wouldn't recommend going over +4 unless it's an all out drag bike or something nutty like that. +11, can't say I've ever heard anyone going that far.

i run my timing at +6 and 18cc domes. hell my motor is built to run lean, and i'm happy as shit with it. has far as the 250r outlaw........if you got about 7grand to blow on just a roller than go for it. i think my bike handles better than a outlaw.........i've ridden and had a roller.

I've been running mine at +4, but basically because of others' recommendations, have you noticed much of a difference between +4 and +6, tats? I've been thinking about advancing mine a little more, but if you bring something like that up here, everyone shuns you back to +4.
