racer
guys i need some opinions. im needin a new ride to go to college in. first off my shee is broken and my truck is old but it in good cond and i like it. but i took my moms '04 yukon to the lake this weekend and i LOVED it. and i got a new job with more hours, read more money. if i sell the shee and save some cash i'll have the down payment i need to pick up say a '00 denali, a very sweet rig. so what should i do. i love my shee and life will be dif w/o it. but i dont want to get a truck halfass style thats not how i want it and be stuck with it. so if i decide on the new rig it will be loaded, not new but loaded. opinions please Edited September 6, 2004 by therail
Toomey Banshee
Get a decent used, reliable truck and keep your shee.
oldturtle
my truck is old but it in good cond and i like it. There is your answer. Keep the old truck while still going to school. The Banshee will not depreciate anymore so good to keep it also unless you need the cash for school expenses. But your first priority needs to be school and postpone the big ticket expenses like a new truck until after school.
racer
but i really want the truck. and since school will be 75 miles from thats a lot of driving, so i need something reliable, and i dont want to do this twice.
Stuff
But your first priority needs to be school and postpone the big ticket expenses like a new truck until after school. Very well put! I just finished school and I have some very big bills rolling my way I considered buying new or newer while in school but I fortunately kept my truck and plan on keepin the old hog. A payment like that while in school is not a good idea. Sure it would be cool to have a Denali and you shouldn't be worried about reliability issues.....you take of it and it will take care of you! Whatever way you go, think it through keepin the long term in mind. Worrying about making your payments every month will just add unnecessary stress to school and homework and all that good stuff. school will be 75 miles from thats a lot of driving I'm all for trucks and such, but consider gas prices???
