PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted September 19, 2004 Report Posted September 19, 2004 No, you'd be better of if you don't put a GPS in your pocket because it needs to receive signals from sattelites and the clearer the path the better your accuracy. When you use one they have all kinds of settings you can enter in the coordinates of where you want to go or else set track point and then go drive around then tell it you want to go back to that point and it'll point you there. A website that can probably help you out is www.geocaching.com that site has info on the GPS and you can also get coordinates to go to caches of stuff that people hide, when you find it you take something out and then leave something, there's thousands of them in this country and all over the world I'm almost certain that there would have to be one within 25 miles of where you live. It's a great way to make a reason to go walk in nature and it's good for taking a girlfriend or wife and also is very entertaining to take children and let them find the cach. Quote
