BansheeBrian
This one looks really pissed off.I've been tracking the bastard for a week on NOAA.com and I'm happy i live up here in "taxland".The big blow job is supposed to hit your area Saturday morning and cross diag. and lean into Georgia. Problem is that we have no fronts to push Frances away form the states. That thing will strengthen some more because the water it's over right now is warmer than a kiddie pool. bigboybanshee
I've been watching this close too, we have a shitload of branches in south east Florida that are getting ready to evacuate...I also have two condos in Destin I'm worried about. Reas, don't be stupid (not saying you are ) get the hell out of dodge. Those folks that stay in their house while it hits are insane. My best wishes to you on getting through it OK, hurricane Frances indeed looks pissed Here's a satellite image of it.... sredish
This one has a lot of wind, which is very bad, but even worse is the size. A normal hurricane will hit you and be gone in 6 or 7 hours, this one is so freaking big, it will beat on you for more like 30 hours. I've been through Hugo, Andrew, and shitloads more I can't remember and this is as bad or worse than any I've seen in my life. Normally, I just roll my eyes at hurricanes, but not this one, this one means business. Make sure you move inland and stay in a strong building, i.e. concrete block building or something. I'm hoping it follows what most do and turn north at the last minute, while I'm not there anymore, I have a lot of family and some properties that provide income that can be blown to shit. I'll be watching.
