stamps96
I have a 96 banshee that i just bought. The carbs were just cleaned by maximum motersports (scherriville, IN) but when i rode it one cylinder ran fine but the other one was sputtering in the mid right before the powerband hit. I'm not familier with banshee jetting but my previus bike was a honda CR. I did a compression test and both cylinders were above 120 psi. I have toomey pipes and a modified air box (more holes drilled in it) but the right cylinder ( the one not firing right) has a black plug. I did put new plugs in it but it still seems to be running rich. Both sides have spark and the main jets are stock 200 sized. I bought some 260 and 270 but havent put them in due to the cylinder being rich. Why is only one cylinder running rich. Thanx Edited August 30, 2004 by stamps96

Nighty
Toomey pipes + modified airintake setup. and then beeing rich on 1 side (right side) with only 200 mains in the carbs. This sort of adds up to a leaking crank seal. Check out the oil level in your transmission you might be burning up transmission oil, causing the bad looking plug and the sputtering.
