sredish Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 My 10 year old Bell Moto 5 or something (been so long can't remember) has been the shit, and I'll never give it up. Go Bell, don't know if RMATV sells them or not. Quote
decon Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 i got a HJC helmet. dont really know what a "good" helmet is, unless your just into the looks. all i can say is if it fits your head nicely then get it, and thats why you should go to a store and purchase one, so you know how it fits. Quote
SICK BOY Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 (edited) My friend swears by Thor helmets,so I tried his.I just ordered myself a Thor Helmet last week. And for price more money isn't always better,I have a $300.00 Fox Pilot helmet and I don't care for how it fits. Travis's Banshee Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Bell Moto-7. Never had a problem w/a Bell, and they'll even check them for you after a hard get off if you send it in. Quote
fixitrod Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Bell has always had a good track record. Remeber though, fit is the key. You should go try some on before ordering. One helmet may fit me and you might hate it. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Bell has always had a good track record. Remeber though, fit is the key. You should go try some on before ordering. One helmet may fit me and you might hate it. One thing I always check is that the mouth guard part of the helmet hangs down below my chin. The one I have now is about an inch or more below. My old helmet was about even, and you don't want to bump your chin on the bars and end up breaking or impacting your teeth. Quote
Slayer1018 Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 I have a helmet by CKX... Kimpex distributes them. Very nice helmet for $90. The visor is killer and the padding can be removed to wash. CKX- VX-7 Quote
