Ducman
I got a YZF 450 for my wife almost 2 monthes ago. The registration finnaly arrived in the mail from the DMV (California). When I opened the letter and saw the green sticker I was very confused because I was sure that it was supposed to be a RED sticker atv. Did the DMV goof up or what? For those that live in other states, Red sticker bikes, untill lately were almost all 2 strokes and now include 4 stroke "racing" motorcycles and atvs. The red sticker machines are banned from using certain public ATV parks and various other restrictions. I haven't checked yet to see if the VIN # on the registration is correct but hell if the registration matches then my wife may have one of the only green sticker YZF 450s in the state thanks to the DMVs apparent goof up. Anybody else heard of this happening or have a transplanted green sticker on their YZF 450? Anyone think I might get busted if the green cops pull it over in a green sticker only area and know that it isn't supposed to be a green sticker bike? SDD
If your YZF is a Canadian model sometimes the VIN has the green sticker digit and the dumbasses at the DMV don't know an LT80 from a CR500 so they send you a green sticker. Thats how I got my green sticker when they were handing out redstickers to all two strokes back in the late 90's. With a red sticker you can't ride from the last day of may until October unless it's on a track.
