You guys think im getting ripped off?

Recommended Posts

when you take someting into the pro's you are suppsed to get it back in better condition than the way you gave it. not i a box. i would cut them a check and cancel it the minute i steped out with my stuff. and then i would talkk shit about the shop to every one and hopefully put the fuckers out of bussines because they don't need to be one if they don't do there job.

I wouldn't steal anything from them! Just cancel the check and tell them to just take you to court for the money, cause if it's like you're telling it then no judge will rule on there side. But from a "legal" side you first have to tell them your not going to pay and you want your bike back. If then say pay or no bike, then pay with a check and then stop payment. If you do ANYTHING illegal like take something your screwed in court! I come from a family of lawyers and thats what there advise was. And they said it's also a possaility that the court will rule on there side so make sure you get as much of the bills and written estimates they should of gave you before you stiff them. That was you have a case in court.

Hope that helps and every thing works out for you!

That sucks man. I don't trust shops at all, I just bought a clymer manual and do all the work myself, except for taking the motor out and splitting the casing to take the crank out, I'm not really comfortable doing that yet, but I know a guy that owned 4 banshees and he does it cheap for me.

Last time I took something to a shop was 3 years ago I has a dirtbike and got sprockets put on it and they never tightened the front sprocket on and i was going down the road wide open and the front sprocket flew off cracking the engine casing ruining the sprocket and runinig my brand new o-ring chain. I said never again!!!! Do it yourself.

Yeah, I was having the same problem with my banshee when I rebuilt it. I went to my local shop and they told me the head gasket probably ripped or pinched, so I took their free advice took my motor back apart and it turned out that one on the O ring in my cool head got pinched when I put it back together so I put a new one in and it cost me next to nothing.

if you paid in cash id take something of their worth 250 bucks

yepget the f*ck out of there pay your 250 if you have to, to get your bike back. then contact the better buisness bureau. then get some paint remover in a spray can and find an area thats painted and write, contact the BBB before doing buisness with this shop. but go double :ph34r: you cant get cought. make them loose at least $250 worth of buisness. witch really wouldnt be that hard. just act like your buying something and if you see someone interested in a bike tell them to check out the bbb before they buy anything form here. make them wish they didnt f*ck you. its not hard. just dont let them know its you them they will issue a trespassing warent or a restaining warrent against ya. $250 is nuts you could have check the head with a ruler. and learned what you needed here. why didnt you? you rebuilt your top your self then decided to give it to them to fix it? doesnt sound right to me. have you talked to the mannager? dont sound like a wimp or they will just say f*ck off. let him know your not fuckin around. no threats. clean. revenge. money aint free.

I would OFFER 100.00 for their work and settle at that-then tell them you have friends who are phone freaks and would tie their phone lines up with stupid questions for a week---and if that dont work-post their phone #
