Yamahammer
does any one have any pics of the pipes installed with no rear plastics on so we can all see the mounting points. i know the hook up in front using the pipe hangers in front. and then there is two in the rear one on the frame buy the air box and the other by the grab bar so the grab bar ones are not used. is there a mount that goes around the stinger or is that extra
Minkia38
only mounts in 2 spots per pipe( besides springs): 1. front mount, right off of frame 2. rear mount, behind airbox, same bolt that hold the bumper on (same as stock pipes, but without rear pipe hangers) sorry no pics - maybe I'll go get some tonight
The Rebel
Rocket silencers are included with the price of the Rocket pipes..... but, at SilverFest 04, sept 17-20 at silver lake dunes, MI, I will try to retro fit some different companies silencers on rocket pipes so I know what fits what. This will also let us know what pipe clamp to get if you want those too (i dont run any = no leaks yet, and I've had them longer than anyone on these forums). If ya waqnn atry a set out, come out to SilverFest, I'll bring along a few sets of sample pipes that you can throw on your bike. Now that's the way to sell a product. You can't beat that offer. German Shepherd
I brought up this old topic b/c I have some questions. Are rocket pipes a more extreme version of the old style trinitys that had the oval canisters? How do rockets sound? Anyone have a video? My buddy has the old style trinity early 1990's pipes and they have an awsome top end, but no bottom and a small mid.

If you like the sound of the T-5's, you will love the sound of rockets. Ive got T-5's and my bro has rockets, and his sound like a pissed off T-5. They sound really snappy. Personally I like the sound of the rockets over the T-5's. A while back I had my toomeys powder coated black. It held up really well. Minkia38
yes - I can get them jet-coated, costs about an extra $100 - same price as chrome - so its up to the buyer.... Loved the video loco! These pipes have nothing to do with Trinity pipes www.rocketpipes.com
