locogato11283
Has anyone tested these pipes? I have t5's..I want to swap to cpi's or rockets. IS it even worth the swap. of course i want the most power, but for one or two horsepower, i could probably find it elsewhere the swappin pipes. I have heard nothing but good things about both pipes. Who here has swapped from t5's to rockets? t-5's to cpi's? or even cpi's to rockets? thanks guys i switched from t5s to rockets. i ran the t5s while i was waiting on the rockets after i had the stroker built. theres a night and day difference between them. the rockets pull soo much harder on the top and pretty much everywhere else. if you have porting youll notice it even more than with a stock engine. Minkia38
Rocket silencers are included with the price of the Rocket pipes..... but, at SilverFest 04, sept 17-20 at silver lake dunes, MI, I will try to retro fit some different companies silencers on rocket pipes so I know what fits what. This will also let us know what pipe clamp to get if you want those too (i dont run any = no leaks yet, and I've had them longer than anyone on these forums). If ya waqnn atry a set out, come out to SilverFest, I'll bring along a few sets of sample pipes that you can throw on your bike.

trialsallday
well guys i jus got my banshee back from k&k and what can i say.... my hands and forarms are like spaghetti now from holding on so tight. they is more low end grunt and the power band feels like i doubled. i love them. i also installed vforce reeds and advanced my timing 4 degrees. the throttle respose is much better, its easier to hit the throttle band even going up a hill in to high of a gear, befor when it was stock it would just go up put the rpm would just stay the same, noe even if im in two high of a gear a little gas and the rpms climb and along comes powerband. i love them and i recomend them to any stocker or modded shee. thanx rocket man and minkia and everyone else who answered all my questions prier to my purchase of them. join the rocket brotherhood. Yamahammer
the silencers are not spark arrested correct is that going to be an option in the future like the toomy hush kit or no plans..
Minkia38
thanks for the honest review - glad u like them! It does make it a different animal huh? spark arrestors? well i just bought the clamp on ones for me, but we were looking into producing a sparky silencer, but problem is that it cost just as much as adding the clamp ons! We will continue to look at our options, but for this year, we will not be introducing a spark arrested rocket pipe ( )
Yamahammer
Sounds good like it matters much it will only see sand for now on and glamis dont care I will let you know on the order and post a review,, Is there a flange or tab for an exaust bracket or is that an after thought on the newer pipes?? Minkia38
well the pipes mount up using the stock hanger in the front, and they rear, you can either use them, or not use them (I personally dont). The hanger points that are on the frame directly in front of the engine (for the stock pipes) are not used at all. I do not think ANY aftermarket pipe maker uses these points (heck, I cut mine off, save about 1/25 of a pound in weight )
