rebelbanshee2
you aren't just piped and jetted right? cause I'd call bs on you beating an r6 if you are just piped and jetted. still two tenths is a pretty good gain. congrats. Now we only raced the 1/8th, I know he would kill me in the 1/4. I am not just piped and jetted. I have a new top end, .80 over, trued and welded crank, PWK 28mm -Slide carbs, Uni Clamp on filters, Noss Head w/20cc domes, 112 gas, I have a mild port job, More of a polishing, made the intakes smooth as glass. Now I have some other little mods such as billet impeller, timing advance plate, and some other little things. I will be at the track tomorrow night, and will post some time slips. My clutch is slipping a little so I will get slip for tomorrow, and I will get some new ones for next week when I get my clutch... raise that compression and unpolish those intakes

broke
I wouldn't say goofy, but they definately look different. I happen to like the way they look on my quad. PTR's are strange looking for sure. Although I would sacrifice looks for performance even if I did think they looked goofy. broke (aka ......jaggoff)

banshee370
I know this isnt the jetting forum but Im trying to help out a friend. I need to know what jetting reccomendations are for a brand enw banshee w/ rocket pipes. The only mods to the bike is +4 advance timing, V-force2 reeds, Uni filter w/ no lid. Stock carbs. Can anyone give me a baseline to start with for jetting? Thanks in advance *Edit* Approximatly sea level to 1000' above w/ temps from high 70's to low-mid 90's Edited August 31, 2004 by banshee370
The Rebel
I never have to change my plugs anyways Hey Minkia, why would you need a locogato plug wrench again?
Meat
I like the looks of the unfinished pipe over the chrome one....
PlaynSand
CHRIST those are some nice ass bikes. But I think the ROCKETS look sorta goofy. Goofy?? I think they are .. as my daughter would say " tight" ! Notice how they follow the lines of the bike and the graphics on the tank. And no one gets to see them much anyway ... usally at the finish of the drags I'm the only one there.
locogato11283
playnsand, what carbs and jetting are you running with your passion port job???
PlaynSand
playnsand, what carbs and jetting are you running with your passion port job??? loco, I am running 33 PWK's with 168 mains and 48 pilots but that is with a traditional ported 350 , I think your 12 port stroker will react completly different to jetting. I look at it this way... if your engine has very rapid port velocity it is going to create a greater pressure drop in the carb venturi area than , my little ole 350. This would allow greater fuel flow through the jets and past the needle which would give you more fuel into the engine than a engine with slow port velocity and the same size jets. So you could have smaller jets in your carbs than the next guy but still be getting more fuel due to the stronger signal on the carbs. I also just jet mine for me and the way I ride ,I think where you ride and how you ride effects jetting a lot, every bike is geared different , has different tires and different weight of rider , all of which effects the load on the engine and fuel ratio, so really ,jetting that works great for one may run like crap for the other even with the same engine. I think yall will come up with a recipe that will get everyone in the ballpark but won't be perfect for everyone, heck just try small changes and see what happens . 01bansheeke
Has anyone tested these pipes? I have t5's..I want to swap to cpi's or rockets. IS it even worth the swap. of course i want the most power, but for one or two horsepower, i could probably find it elsewhere the swappin pipes. I have heard nothing but good things about both pipes. Who here has swapped from t5's to rockets? t-5's to cpi's? or even cpi's to rockets? thanks guys
