Banshee17Racing Posted August 25, 2004 Report Share Posted August 25, 2004 I love mine. It's kind of hard to fork out that much money for a lever, but you won't regret it. You will never worry about clutch cables again. Installing it is pretty easy, just be patient when dealing with the cylinder under the carbs. BE careful not to bend anything. And also look out for the hosing rubbing against the pipes(if you have the plastic or rubber hosing). I've heard it's known to melt if it gets too hot. MotulMonsta Posted August 25, 2004 Report Share Posted August 25, 2004 I've had mine for a few years now. Yes the stock plastic hose will melt if it get's too close to the pipes..happened to me. But once you set it up right, you NEVER have to adjust anything until you run the clutch out..then you have to adjust the clutch internaly. The hydraulic cylinder offers LESS resistance then a standard cable setup plus the feel is so much better. You can run heavy duty springs and actuate the lever with one finger. Just heard some stuff about 'em breaking and bending easy and didn't want to fork out the big bucks for the billet cyl setup. But... if they're working well for people.. great! I decided that the money I'd save in the long run might be worth a gamble at a hydro clutch. I'll never go back to a cable clutch setup. It's that good. Yes those that know..Know.
