sredish
could be a hundred things, but a few things: you may be running lean and causing it to get hotter than it normally does. could be the impeller isn't flowing anymore if you have a service manual, it should have a troubleshooter in the back that will help you diagnose the issue. racer
you could also have a leaky head gastket. if you get combustion pressure into the water jackets it will force the cooling water out. so much might check into that also. JPL-ATV
Who did the porting and what was it set up for? The shop that ported it should be able to recommend proper jet sizes for your carbs. 165-170 is a good place to start with most mild ports. As for the overheating, I suggest you first correct the jetting and ride it. If it's still overheating, the head may not have been milled perfectly flat. If it was done on a Vertical Mill (Bridgeport) there are at least a half a dozen things that could have gone wrong to produce a leak. If it was cut on a lathe, there are more than a half a dozen things that could have happened! Try re-torqueing the head nuts just to make sure everything is seated properly. If she still gets hot under the collar, let me know and I'll run you through the next steps to figure out what is going on.
