What a-arms?

Recommended Posts

What a a-arms would work well with my yfz450 shocks? I don't wanna go much wider then stock because I still like to woods ride also. I've been putting a-arms off for a while, but it's one of the few upgrades I have left to make.

Wicked? JD performance, ricky stator? I think I want powdercoated ones too, the grass track I have here is tough on the paint.

Would like to hear from people that made the swap.

Go with Quicksand A Arms, get them powder coated any way you want, get them with automotive type ball joints, or with garys Heim Joints. He can make them to whatever specs you want, just give him a call! Check out the website, its in my Sig. Garys phone number is on the Contact page! You absolutley will not be dissapointed in Quicksands product! I know a bunch of people will back this claim up!

I've seen to many sloppy heim style joints on a-arms. I don't think they were really designed for that kind of force. Anyway, I don't have a clue what the yfz450 shock are like to mount up. I have the ricky stators and I have to say they are basic, strong and the joints seem to be very strong.

I really dont think there is a Slop issue or a strength issue with the joints gary uses. I have seen worse joints on the High Dollar A-Arms!

Those joints are cheap and easy to replace as well!

Which joints. I don't want a joint that wears easy because the can fall apart unexpectedly. Quciksands a-arms are freakin awesome. I've seen them. I've even seen some he built "custom" for a bhq member. I wanted to clarify I have absoulutly nothing against quicksand a-arms.. they really are nice. Just the one style joint I don't like. Call it personal preference.

I will look into them for sure. I'm already running the 450shocks, but would like some pluss 1's or 2's. I'm affraid of the stock ball joints and tie rods failing on me. I have a huge grass track here that I can top the bike out on, and no it's not stock!

I'll take a gander at the sight right now.

The bike is built, and geared taller (1 tooth bigger up front). My modded wr426 will pull 90mph on the straights here. The banshee doestn' feel much slower. I want to trust! the a-arms and tie rods.

I can hit the century mark on the sleads no problem also.(lots of room)

I checked the sight, and like your work. As soon as I can get away with ordering them I will (with the automotive balljoints)

quicksand makes some nice arms. not sure what the warranty is though. if your on a budget though id get the armadillos. i talked to the owner and he told me if you bend it send it in and you will get a new one no questions asked. i wish my lonestars had that kind of warranty. lonestar has no warranty except on their heim joints....sucks... all you buy is the name
