banshe98
I bought a 98 banshee with an aftermarket head and took it off to check the dome size. I found that they are 16cc domes. what type of fuel should I be running with these domes because it seems I have very high compression. thanks for any help
Banshee~
I would say 110 octane depending on your altitude
BansheeBrian
That's some wicked comp. if you're at sea level.Run 110 or higher, keep your ears open for pinging and watch your plugs.
banshee boy 98
holy SH*T that is some small domes. i would go to a b9es plug and dont have the timing advanced. like BansheeBrian said watch for detonation, that motor will have a killer midrage power band. keep an eye on the plugs, you might need to gap the plugs at .22 to keep the fire lit. high comp. like that will kill a spark plug. frocashmoney24
damn, try out some AV gas, might help ya out abit, wanna do a compression test for us, im kinda interested in what she's pushin out
FATBANSHEE
with 16cc domes you should be running straight 110-115 or even alchy. I would guess your compression will be 200 -220 range depending on your altitude. let us know what your compression and altitude is and we can steer you in the right direction. but to be on the safe side run straight 115. ...FAT
banshe98
ya i'm at sea level but haven't checked the compression yet. the reason I took the head off to check it is because the spark plugs keep unthreading from the head. I think i'll need to get a plug lock for this. I'll have to check the compression when it is back together.
dlnoss
Plugs getting loose and even popping out is a symptom of detonation. I would be surprised with 16cc domes.
