So, the dial a jet pretty much turns a Keihin into a Lectron? I like the way Lectrons perform but GD they're built like junk .

Yes it does turn them into lectrons. Lectrons do work great but they are a bitch to get dialed in.

So whats the deal with the lectron carbs? They claim like a 5hp increase on top end with their carbs due to the "power jet". The dial a jet is basically the same thing as the power jet circut on a lectron. Yet the dial a jet claims to be a breaze to jet but doesn't mention any hp gains.

ive noticed when my single K&N is filthy, i get that same hesitation, i nail it and it hangs for a second then breaks my arms when it hits

I find the same thing but its normally when I get some water on it, after coming out of a river or something.

 

I am running PJ34's 50 pilots, 175 mains, needle in the middle with a pro-design foam filter air box lid removed and it is running mint with no bog in the mid.

I was having a few issues which I thought to be jetting related but it turned out to be the cdi. I put a new one in last week and its all good now.

I am running 20cc domes, and run AV fuel in a 40:1 mix with motul 800

Mines pretty much the same as blues dueces, stock box zip tied to the frame, with a single foam filter and the lid removed.

 

I remember reading in BD's review that he was using special cut domes from noss. Not sure whats special about em, they look the same as the normal ones, and I dont know if they make a difrence, but I have also got em, so it could be worth a shot trying them if you dont have em

When Jim & I Talked about intake setup this is what I could do for cheap.

I didn't want a 1 into 2 setup because I would have needed more money & weight on the shee. SO here is my setup a 1-7/8 inch by 4-inch aluminum. Aluminum cross brace pop riveted to the subframe gusset to added support for air filters. Solid setup.

hey you guys that have your shit running right what kinda air filter setup are you using? pics would be great.

on the domes i think david at noss cut the domes to jims specs, but jim would know and could tell us....with the pj34's ,50 piliot 172 and up on the mains, needles in the center position, boss intake, delta 2's and a single K&N, my bike cooks, im glad i didnt go 35's and twin filters.....ive posted my intake setup tons, jim sent 3.5 inch boots for my air box to carb, i cut them to 1.5 and whacked out my tool box to scoot the air box back, i ride in the hot ass dusty desert so i couldnt see losing my box altogether not to mention one of those little single pods falling off, i also have good fat gas lines and drilled out my petcock for better flow, heres a few pics
