Killer_Shee
I am going to go look at some Banshees at Fort Collins Motorsports Saturday. They are selling 3 of them in a wholesale lot for 6g. What they have told of these machines is they have a 2000 thats in good shape other than the frame is broke at the footpeg mount, a 1994 that is in decent shape but the front brakes don't work, and a 1995 Vito's 383 that doesn't run. I am considering buying them and fixing the 2 machines that run and selling them, and then start from scratch building my dune bike from the non-running quad. What ya'll think, does that sound like a pretty fair deal? I am hoping to get $3500 for the 2000 after its fixed and $2500 for the '94 after its fixed--that would leave me with a seized '95, but it would be FREE. racer
breakin a frame at the peg mount aint shit. my buddy is heavy and loves to air his out and breaks the left peg about annually. the only thing is that when you weld it back on put some steel plating on the underside and weld it up nice for some extra support. I'm sure it'll be a while, *maybe* next Memorial Weekend when we go to RedFeather we may bring them along & hit the dunes for a day or so since it's only like an hour or so from there. We'll see....I'm sure I'll post something on the forums too. So are you getting those banshee's or what?
