duner Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Check out the SIDI Flexforce boots. The tops are hinged to the bottom.I really like mine. They allow you ankle to bend front to back but not side to side. Quote
crbanshee Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 i cant wear boots..they just dont feel right to me on a banshee...i just wear a nice comfy pair of VANS..but on my 2 wheel bike i do wear the alpine stars and they are a good fit for me they are comfy and grip well Quote
Ducman Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Well, I was used to riding a street bike where fexibility is a must in order to shift. I bought a pair of MX boots and gave them away after my first ride with them on the shee due to not being able to shift up through the gears; no fealing in the toe, zero. I agree with Duner. The sidi's are as comfortable as a pair of shoes and I'd say offer plenty of protection for ATV riding although not as much as MX boots, unless you consider wrecking due to a missed shift! A limited but easy up/down range of motion with no sideways rotation. You can wear them around all day and forget that you are wearing them, walk a mile in them with no complaints. I have a pair of Sidi Vert II's for the street and Sidi B-1's (less expensive) for riding the banshee. The B-1's are actually made for street sport riding. You can shift with the sidi's just like a pair of vans. A little spendy but I guarentee you wont be disappointed. Quote
23champ Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 I've heard the tech 8's are hard to break in and are very stiff when they are new. Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I got some MSR system x boots about five years ago, holding up great, they are actually made by alpine stars (says on the bottom) but much cheaper I think I paid a buck and a half for them new...I did break a buckle, and the shop sold me buckles for alpine star tech 4 I believe and they work fine. sredish Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Anyone try the new SIDI Vortex Evo? They look really comfy and were in the ATV Sport mag an issue back or so. Quote
