dlnoss
If you buy a new Pro Design head it should come with studs. If you buy a Noss head you don't need them. 22cc would be safe but not give you as much of a performance boost as you could get with 21cc. You should be okay with 21cc and your mods if you run premium pump. How much is your compression with the shaved head?
nickxc
How much is your compression with the shaved head I think it was like 126 last time I checked ( about 2 or 3 weeks ago) This head is used and the kid said he doesn't have the studs they where on the cylinders when he sold them i guess. dlnoss
I've been hearing of people paying $40 for a set of studs. (I should make some and sell them) Depending on how much your head is shaved, 22cc may not give you much more compression since stock heads are usually around 23cc. Have you already bought the head? Do orings come with it? I'm asking because if you have to buy domes, orings, and studs after buying the head it may be less expensive to buy a new one with 21cc domes. frocashmoney24
not to mention acorn nuts and washers that cost like 18 bucks from prodesign i think
nickxc
I decided not to buy it for now. it was gunna end up being $125 for the head with 22 cc domes then shipping then studs from prodesign are $34 and he said one of the orings was missing so I would have to come up with one of them too. I am just looking for an aftermarket head cause I keep blowing head gaskets. Im on my third one this summer and at $20 each I would be farther ahead to have an aftermarket head. nickxc
my friend has a prodesign and we had to pull his head and replace the head gasket at LS wow, I thought that those O rings lasted a long time... that was my main reason for getting an aftermarket head. dlnoss
The orings do usually last a long time unless they are damaged during installation or there is some other problem.
nickxc
I really like the looks of the nos head and Ive heard alot of good stuff about them. If I had the cash to just go buy one that would be the one I'd get. unfortunately I cant blow $200 right now but I'll prolly be able to get one soon ...
