Cotton eyed Joe
I'm more into the military games as well..... I played DOOM when it first came out and it made me so motion sick I never played it again. I payed around $75 for it for my nintendo. I prefer the game Army Men. lol. If you've never played that game its kinda fun. Little army men battallions. Yellow VS Green VS the giant spiders that will try to eat you. I also can't wait for GTA:San Andreas to come out. I still haven't got 100% with GTA:VC yet, and probably never will.

MotulMonsta
One thing I always liked about id software games was the ability to moddify the shit out of them. My freinds and I collaberated on a doom TC called Akmeel doom...Making fun of some kid in High school..that game was funny as f*ck..Imps were flashing school girls throwing tampons at you and you had to whack them with your book bag..funny shit. Then there was biddle quake..tc for quake making fun of the principal in high school...aka Mr. Biddle...he was the shambler funny shit but never was finished. Then I made a tc for quake 2..never got finished It's sole purpose was to make fun of my chain of command from my first unit. I had only one level made and a few models rendered..still it was funny..I had all the sounds done though. I can only imagine the man hours required to edit doom 3...Geez! I remember it took me 2 days to compile a level complete with lighting and water effects for quake 2. Never again.

jinx44
Wolf3D was an awesome game. Anybody ever play "Rise of the Triad"? I bought this game around '95 or so. Wolf3D was the talk then and Doom 1 wasn't out yet on PC if I remember correctly. It came on 4 floppy disks. This game was awesome. It was a true 3D game. You climbed ladders, jumped on trampolines, get on top of buildings and look down, etc like you do in newer games. One weapon was a shotgun that you would see reload after each shot. Graphics were great for the era and included a lot of shading.

QuadMX
Anybody know a good cheap video card to run for Doom 3? A bud of mine wants to know.
Nighty
Oh man this was a freaky part, i didnt move for at least 3 minutes saving every 5 seconds Quadmx, I would go with a "ati radeon 9600 pro" 128 OR 256 mb In my oppinion these cards give you the most bang for the buck atm. Keep in mind: The whole system will need to be pretty up to date to play this game smoothly.
