Maverick302
In the last AMA magazine, an article stated that while out on a ride, a woman (who happened to be a nurse) had a medical episode. Some blockage of the intestines or something. Her and the hubby were out in the middle of nowhere and the closest place was a farm run by a guy named Mario who didn't speak english. It was powered by a generator, and there was no phone. There was however, a sattelite connected to the internet. After searching for medical help and finding nothing, he went to www.thumpertalk.com and posted about it. 11 minutes later someone responded after calling a medicopter. She turned out ok after surgery, and got hundreds of get-well e-mails from people who saw the posts. She said "I never knew there was such kindness out there. It's like a big family." Kinda sounds like the HQ. Anyone else see this? I found it very interesting.
