trialsallday
any ideas what jetting might be for a stock banshee with a foam uni filter an a nice shiny set of rocket pipes might be.
sredish
i'd think around 280 or 290 on the main jet. try sticking with the stock pilot and see how shee runs, and the needle either in the third or fourth clip from the top, you'll just have to try one and then the other to see what shee likes better. locogato11283
whats your sea level? if you are around 1000 feet above i would say sredish is on target. i would think tho that youd have to go to a 27.5 pilot. you are gonna get so much better air flow with that filter and those pipes. trust me i know, sredish is jealous of my rockets

Ducman
I asked Minkia28 and bignasty both told me to go way up on my main size when I went fom FMFs to the Rockets on my otherwise stock motor. One of the local stealerships thought I was crazy for installing the 320's on a stock motor but it runs perfect. Almost never consult a stealership in a small redneck town, they rarely know shit. I was at 280's with my FMF Gnarlies and went to 320's on the Rockets, 200 ft elev, foam filter, air box lid off, about 80 deg. These pipes flow much more air on the top end. If you compare the diameter of the stinger tubes to FMFs or Toomeys the Rockets are way bigger. Mine is definitly at a safe rich level, could possibly go 1 main leaner but the plug color is pretty good only slightly darker than with the FMFs, and it has no sign of bogging even on a 100 deg day. The plugs have never been wet or oily when I've checked them. Throttle responce is prety similar off idle but pick up a few revs and its way snappier. You will really notice how the pipes keep pulling harder and harder all the way to the ceiling and rev out much higher, rather than getting to a certain level of power and just maintaining. Really helped my top end alot in 5th and 6th. I'd say you want #30 pilots or at least 27.5's.
gonzoret
right now i am running #340 on my mains and #25 pilots and it feels good, i will probably be moving up on my main to #350 and #27.5 on pilots and see how it feels. i usually run it a Glamis and Pismo. in about two weeks i will be goin back to Pismo and checking
Minkia38
You guys all sound right on the money! Ducman is right, rockets flow alot of air - thats why they scoot! you WILL need to bump up alot on the main. I didnt even touch my pilots or needle on my stroker (different story on the RZ though). I think my main is a 310 on the bored out stock carbs. But I also have a stroker crank - so that may affect it slightly... hope this helps! love the pics guys! keep them coming
