Hockey390
I have the billet exhaust clamps, supposidly wont leak... But they are, any reasons mine might be? Both sides have smoke coming out, so that means I'm not at my potential for power. Also there is oil coming out at the clamp, is that mean my crank seal is bad... I sure hope not, and if it does, does that NEED to be fixed ASAP, or can I let it go till riding season is over?
locogato11283
i dont know why your clamps are leaking but i think the oil is normal. if you are a little rich the excess could possibly be blowing out the exhaust. i know that my cr500 banshee spits out oil from the exhaust. pretty frequently actually. ybanshee203
I'm pretty sure the oil is normal. Try taking your silencers off and running a bead of high temp silicone around the headpipe where the silencers slide on. Then slide the silencers back on and wipe the excess silicone off. Re-install your pipe clamps and let the silicone dry overnight or longer. Hope this solves your problem.
