lastlegwarrior
It goes pretty much like the topic says, my buddy flat out disgraced the name banshee. My shee is currently in the rebuild process or i personally would have saw to it that this did not happen. Anyways, my buddy has a 96' shee with about the same mods i do, T-5's, K&N clamp ons, fresh rebuild (wiseco crank and pistons of course), reed spacers, and +4 degrees on the timing. Well he went riding again the other day (by the way he let this happen twice) with one of some of his buddies, one of which had a 03 KFX400. The KFX400 had some serious mods though, like.......I think he took out the baffle or endcap on the exhaust. (i know huge mods). This kid with the KFX400 apparently thought his quad was the sh*t, because he was cocky enough to ask my buddy to race his shee against his 400, not on gravel either, pavement. So i'm thinking, if this isn't just an a$$ whooping waiting to happen, right. So they line the quads up and they take off my buddy got raped to about sixth gear, then he eventually pulled away. I don't think i could pick my jaw off the ground when i heard about this, and to make matters worse; 1st, he let this happen twice. 2nd, now the kid with the KFX thinks he's got a quad touched by god, he also thinks he's the sh*t. (of course i would too if i spanked a shee all the way to sixth, and i was riding a kawasaki) I mean this kid's head is so big now he can barely fit the thing through doors. According to my calculations that drag race should have turned out like a honda racing a vette, boy was i wrong. Right now i'm debating whether or not to even call him my buddy anymore, i don't know, i'm just so confused right now, what should i do. I know what i'll do once i finish rebuilding my shee i'll go do myself some KFX hunting, that should be fun. But seriously are those KFX400's really that fast, i know my friend is a moron, but i thought even a moron couldn't screw that one up, guess i was wrong. Once again, i guess if you want it done right you gotta do it yourself. Nighty
lmao Dazed and confused indeed. There's loads in a rider.. a fast bike wont get you far. Speed is 95% rider and 5% bike, Better make that 5% count

KRMit
Yesterday I raced a Z400 and a 450r on grass. I'm gonna compare the KFX to the Z because I think they're the same bike. Both quads got me a little on the holeshot. I would immediately start pulling them both though. The Z actually gave me a run for my money. That thing is seriously gear low. I would pass him about 5th gear though. I was really surprised. I figured the 450 would demolish the Z, but in 300ft I'd have to give it to the Suzuki. The 450 would eventually pass it though. rev370
I raced my buddies Z400 last week and whooped on it.It had a scorpion pipe, was jetted, and had a K&N with no airbox lid.he got me off the line, we pulled even as i rapped out second, then i started to pull away in third and never stopped. He is a hell of a rider too.He got the first the next day at MX in the fulton county fair.We switched for a while and he told me mine was scary fast. iceman
Tell him next time he needs to push the throttle all the way back instead of 1/4 push. Who cares anyway KFX400s can suck my dick.
Banshee~
dude your friend cant ride I was beating a piped kfx by 4 bike lenghts and i only have a k&n
KRMit
It really depends on the length of the race. A Banshee can pretty much take any other quad over a distance, but 300ft is a whole different story.
