CV-2 35mm on a Stroker

Recommended Posts

That's the thing I agree with Sredish my CV-2 is so nice it would suck to go back to duals but on the other hand what good is a stroker motor if you can't use to its full potential. to be able to run a 38 you'd have to have the mounting plate machined out wouldn't you? I suppose I could just buy another 35 and the boots and stuff to hook it up then I could swap back and forth between one or two when/if needed.

Everything I've tested and learned w/ the stock stroke was out the door when I put my stroker in.....I tried 4 different carbs from stock to dual 35's and the larger the carb, the better the performance from bottom to top....So if I was you, go w/ the duals... The stroker demands some serious air...

Yup, still using them and loving em....I've ridden a few other strokers and I just can't give them up...I might be trying a set of rockets when I go to Sandfest in sept.... :whoa: You'll be looking at some serious money when you go to a stroker. You have to change the whole intake setup for the larger carbs as well as reed cages or your gains will be very minimal..

I'll be anxious to hear how those work for ya Banchetta.

im runnin 35mm pwk's on mine. id either run 34mm or 35mm dual carb set up. it would be nice to be able to run a single carb setup but i dont think you are gonna be able to with the stroker. im running a totally open air filter and rocket pipes for maximum air flow. so far i like it a lot.

banchetta, once you try some rockets i bet you wont wanna run anything else. they pull so hard on top its not even funny. plus, i think they look better than cpi's. i got a chance to park my bike next to one with cpi's and the cpi's actually look small and plain compared to my rockets.

Banchetta, I'm not too worried about spending the money I've already talked to Jim at Passion about it so I've been budgeting for a couple months and since I am getting close too a rebuild, I was planning on a new pistons, crank, and porting anyway. Why not do it right the first time. I'm about to get a new frame and a-arms with elkas so then I will need the motor to go with them. All of it just for fun since I don't race. I don't plan on ever selling the Banshee as long as I can still ride it so it might as well get it fully built up. I also thought about buying a new Banshee before they quit making them but what good is a stock Banshee anyway?

Loco I would probably run the twin 35's my single is awesome so easy to jet. By the way your videos are pretty cool that you put up I'd have liked to see the Banshee in the wheelie segment though. Also I read that you have hillclimbs in Minnesota where are they at? I live in the Twin Cities and would love to go see what they are all about.

Sounds good, I built my shee for the same reason.... :D Local competition and hill climbing...we have some pretty good riders, so we push ourselves harder and harder, why not try to get the edge... :P I just thought I'd let you know. I spent $1600 for my stroker, (pistons, crank, porting, transfers, NOSS head), later I ended up spending another $800 for intake mods that I didn't plan on....so plan on that as well,if you don't have the intake mods, then you won't gain shit....maybe 2-3hp. The intake mods gave my another 10hp..

Loco,

I'm about 2hrs, 1.5hrs, and 1 hr respectively. If I can get a chance I'll probably try to check one out never been to one. I have all the huevos vids and there's some hill climbs on them looks like fun to watch not sure that I'd have the balls to try it myself if you do it the same as those videos.

Banchetta,

Have you posted any pics of your intake mods? I've already gotten V force delta 2's and one 35mm carb so I figured I'd have to get some new carb boots, another carb and probably a throttle cable. I'm not sure what I need for between the airbox and carbs though.
