Simple Jetting Question

Recommended Posts

Here are my mods...

Procircuit Pipes and silencers

V-Force 2 reeds

Noss Coolhead 21cc domes

0.060 bore

K&N Filter with adapter (no lid?)

I'm thinking 300 main and 30 pilot from what i've read?

The reason I ask is because "supposedly" with procircuit pipes you have to richen up the pilot... why is this if they're "top-end" pipes? Is this true... most other pipes I know you don't have to.

I haven't installed all the above but will finish the install tomorrow and wanted to know about jetting.

Also what should I do about my needle?

Opinions?

In the winter what how much richer would I need to go? (pilot also? or just main?)

Thanks for all the help guys... been on the board for a week and can't get over how good the knowledge is and how much you guys help.

You can leave the needle stock otr go down to the 4th clip. You can only really get close setups being that each bike is different due to location and what not. The 300 mains should be close. I have a similar setup but with ptr mids and bored 20 thou. and I run 310's and stock pilots with needle in 4th air box lid on( due to dusty shit in Florida and a K&N. The two of those don't mix too well) Good luck, but you are close so just run some plug chops. I kept going up in size till I felt myself lose power, then went down to the next one before that. Just one adjustment at a time.

like svt said, 300/30/3rd or 4th clip should get you pretty close. every machine is different and while one person runs a 310, the next may run a 280 with the exact same mods in the exact same location.

so, throw in your projected jets and runs some plug checks and see what you come up with. without the lid, you could be running a 310 main or, you could be at 290, only way to find out is to read the plugs.

Later.
