Banshee Smell - Why doesnt mine smell like my pals

Recommended Posts

Recently I went to watch some quad drags... a couple of the banshees I noticed had this sweet smell... i assumed it was race gas or something... hadn't smelt it ever before really. Then my buddy bought a banshee and it made the same smell, thought it was just the way banshees smell.

But I bought mine and it doesn't have that smell... could it be the silencer packing or something?

We both run pump gas and use the same oil, so it isn't that...

Maybe some one knows what i'm talking about... :shootself:

A "sweet" smeel could be some one had ran race gas wiht a sent(they make sent you add in to your gas to make it a little easier on the nose such as cherry, grape pina coldia etc) even though your running pump gas this sent could have goten stuck in to the silincers packing.

anouther thing that will make a sweet smell sometimes is coolant being burnt any white smoke??

sorry... I thought about that when I wrote it... I wouldn't necessarily call it a "sweet" smell... just to me it is so sweet. :) (as in I like the smell).

So it could be race gas from before... that's probably it... anyone else know the smell I mean... i've only smelt it on banshees... does race gas smell stick around that long?

It may be race gas that your smelling it does smell pretty sweeeet. My friend bought an XC SP 800 last winter which had racing fuel in it and i could smell that stuff for a while and it slowly faded away as he ran more pump fuel into it.
