Toomey Banshee
Went riding today and the shee was ideling high . I didnt think much of it and rode for about half hour. Of course during that half hour of riding I'm trying to figure WTF is wrong. Got to a pit and just started going through the carbs etc. to see what the problem was. Messed with the air screws, no help which told me it was an air leak. Messed around a bit more and noticed the carb boot on the left carb was ripped by where the tab is on the top. I have stock boots with 33 carbs so that right there is the problem. I didnt notice any dirt and whatnot around the rip as it wasnt dusty at all with the rain we just got. I'm hoping I didnt do any damage to the cylinder from the lean condition or any debris that may have entered through the rip. Just thought I'd share, I ordered the proper boots through Magic racing and it'll give me a chance to put in the V-Force I have sitting around. Anyone have any experience with the larger intake boots with the boost bottle attached? Is it worth the cabbage?
locogato11283
im guessin you mean the boss intake? yes its worth every penny. looks sweet and is functional. also helps your carbs clear the clutch arm. do a search on "boss intake". theres another thread about it somewhere. Justintoxicated
there was a guy on ebay a while back selling billet intake, with no boost bottle tube for like $80 something $ PM me if you need his info. Thats what I'm running with my 33's. It seems to move the carbs back slightly too. he put a damn shiny finish on it.
