Gargamel
Anyone know the size socket needed for the front sproket nut? And any little trick to get it off the easiest without stipping it? One other thing, anyone ever use a amp link?? Are they worth the money? Do they help the way there suppose to? Or a waste like the boost bottle. Thanks in advance Jeremy
ybanshee203
I don't know what size it is but I used a impact gun to get my friends off and it didn't strip. I don't have an Amp Link but I've heard they're not worth the money. Hope this helps.
racer
once i peeled back the retainer thingy on mine i just pulled it off by hand. are you supposed to get those tight? ive always hand tightened mine then cinched it down with that metal plate that goes behind it. 94BansheeRider
I believe it is a 32mm socket and an impact. There is an exact torque setting in the Clymers manual, but I don't know it off the top of my head. I have owned an AMP link. I loved it when I had it on, really kept the rear end on the ground. The only reason I took it off is because I shredded the lower gear. No fault of the link, just me being a dumbass . Some people say that they rob horsepower. I think it does rob a little, but if you have well tuned semi-modded shee, it's not really noticeable. Hope this helps...

nasty01banshee
i like my amp-link just for the fact it eliminates that little piece of shit roller on the swing arm and makes chain adjusting a 'lil easier + looks kewl....
lonestar
had mine since 1997 i inspect the bearings every year still on the factory bearings. you have to line those rollers up. the bearings will last you longer
squish
I think they rob power. I had one and it made a bunch of noise. I bought a chain slider from T.M. designs. That thing is bad ass. Life time warranty. You got to take through bolt out and drop the swing arm a bit. Got to take off that piece of crap roller and silver doughnut thing. The chain wears down slider a bit and just sits in it's own grove. I think they make it oversized for that reason. Keeps it from going side to side. Anyway another option for you. locogato11283
i get the sprocket nut a little more than hand tight, then pinch the washer down on it.
