Shee_Man
Anyone know what brand of pipes these are... I just got the bike and can't find any names on them or anything... it's registered as a 1999 but the frame has j-arms. :S Is there anyway these could be stock pipes? sredish
Is there anyway these could be stock pipes? No, are they old school FMFs?

Shee_Man
I think you guys are right... doesn't say anywhere on them... but the silencers look like the newer FMF ones just with no badge. here is a pic of them... would I gain much by upgrading my pipes? I want to change my silencers to pro-circuit for the sound and looks (these look like crap and old too, lol) Thanks for the quick response guys... just wanted to know if there was any possible way they were stock that were chromed or something for jetting purposes. banshee04le
The silencers look like DG. I'm not sure about the pipes though.

frocashmoney24
i think them babies are dg's
sredish
I think you guys are right, I think they are, in fact, DG's. I looked at them again later and it hit me. The DG's have that squared look at the head pipe.
Oilsmoke
My first thought was DG's before i started reading the rest of the thread. I had old school FMF hi rev's and they didn't look like them.

tats4life
DG "national series pipes and silencers" IMO the biggest pieces of shit to run on a shee. hell i'd run stock before those things.
Shee_Man
lol, alright so that answers my next question... So how much power can I gain by switching pipes... these are aftermarket so they must be better than stock... isn't DG a decent name brand also? Anyone else have an opinion? I read this and it really turned me off them also.. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...topic=26633&hl= I just bought pro-circuit silencers and was planning on keeping the pipes (i like the sound of the pro-circuits and my current DG silencers look like arse at this point). What pipes do you suggest... i'd like to gain through-out the power band with top-end being the most important (but not the only importance). Why are these so bad? Thanks for the help guys... you really know your stuff and I get so many replies on this board. Edited July 26, 2004 by Shee_Man
FORMULASPEED
There better than stock. I had a set but got rid of them after finding this site and reading up on them. You can also pick those up at your local Dollar General store for about 19.95.
coolhead03
What else is done to it. What type of riding do you do. I ride alot With guys who have toomey t-6's ,CPI's, I have pro-circuit and rocket pipes, For wide open riding I like the rockets or CPI's. If you do an even amount of both I'd say toomey. If mostly trail and sand pit type stuff go with the PC's. The only reason I like the PC's better than rockets for trail and sand is the size of the rockets, they can be too big in certain situations. and the PC's have an even predictable type of power where the toomey's seem to hit the power band hard and fall out of it easily while riding in a sand pit. Just my experience im sure other people have diff opinions.
