ledofthezep
I wouldn't be able to afford the gas. It would be fun to race the little zipperheads in their ricers & the cocky pricks on their little cbrs that run around town...

Man I just saw that movie about 2 weeks ago. I had to keep goin back and watchin just the parts with the shees. That's freakin awesome. I started one time to get mine street legal...Just a shitload of work plus DMV is dumb as hell and didn't help for shit. Being setup for MX and then tryin to go on-road is quite a bit different though...Too much work changin back and forth always. Although then I could just ride it to the track and change shit there

Brake and Light Inspection.......100.00 Chp vehicle inspection.............50.00 DMV fees....ca tax, plates, reg, ???? TIRES..........????????? knight_ripper
Here it is the final chapter in my struggle to legalize my ATV....just found this on the CA DMV site... The California Air Resources Board (ARB) established emission regulations for on-highway motorcycles beginning with 1978-year models. Off-highway motorcycles must have an emission label affixed to the vehicle indicating certification by the manufacturer for on-highway use when converting to on-highway or dual registration. New registration guidelines effective for off-highway motorcycles converting to on-highway or dual registration purchased on or after January 1, 2004, will require verification of the emission label. NOTE: ATV OHVs cannot be originally registered for on highway use, or converted to on-highway registration, regardless of aftermarket conversion kits or added equipment. Please direct questions regarding emission certification or labeling to the California Air Resources Board at 1-800-242-4450 or visit their website at www.arb.ca.gov. Fkn treehuggers.....we have way too many in CA.....whats the big deal with quads.....I know they arent safe....but that depends on the rider. Should be up to us. I need to get me a place in Az. Screamin_Demon
I do know it's legal to ride an atv in Montana, or at least in Great Falls where I just moved to. Only problem is I can't ride it on base. Safety regulations. Only going to cost about 100 - 130 bucks to street legalize it. Already have lights/tailights, just need a horn, mirror (cops don't care if it's there or not), and a tag.
