need to get the axle out of brother 250x

Recommended Posts

Hmmm i dont have much experience with hondas but im guessing that you would just take the axlelocknuts off, the hubs, sprocket and disk hubs, etc. Then when you get all that crap off figure out what way its suppose to go out im guessing you would hit it out on what ever side the axle locknut was off because that was how the banshee was. You may need to heat it up real well with a propane torch and just hit it with a big mallot of get a block of wood and pound on it with a BFH. Hope this helps you a little.

the carrier and axle all one unit on the 250x's? I know they are on the 200x's. They are a bitch if the bearing comes apart, remember for future knowledge to never let them get bad, or it'll make your fun escalate 10 fold.

If the outer races do get stuck in there, sometimes a good penetrating lube soak (like to use pb blaster), and using a screwdriver you can bang them out, but usually not.

Take a grinder and grind down through the outer race, making sure you dont grind into the carrier. Once you get the race really thing you can start on an edge of it with a flat screwdriver and chip your way through it and it'll pop right out.

i dont think that they are all one unit, but iam not to sure about that. i got the tires and hubs off. the rotor wont fit over the axlenut. The axle nut is on the right and I was just wondering if you screw it off to the right or to the left. I have tried both and it gets really hard at the end. had a pipewrench with a 5 ft pole and i was jumping on it and i wouldn't budge

any help is appreaciated.
