Minkia38
kinda sounds ridiculous, BUT - my banshee is a fast bike, but it looks stock (its a sleeper), and I can't keep my front end down in anything under 4th gear at full power. SO - since I don't want to install my +6 swingy, what would happen if I added some weight in the very front of the quad? would that help keep it down or would it not be worth the extra HP it would take to pull it? try trying to keep the sleeper illusion I drag race for fun at the sand dunes, we juts line up and someone signals a start..... nothing professional..... PlaynSand
I have never tried it , but I have heard of some taking a stock bumper and melting down lead weights and pouring the tube full , that may add 20 to 30 lbs. to the bumper and be hidden , but I don't know how much it would help, but it would be way out front , but could result in nosedives when jumping. Minkia38
very interesting concept! very very interesting....... and i just happen to have an extra stock bumper.....
Noob Banshee
That may work very well altough it could set you up for a very big crash!!!! You are adding weight to the front witch the shee is not use to and may though off the whole thing... and it's more weight motor has to push!!! could over heat faster ....could tip easy.....could blow a motor .... i'm not sure ...but good luck
racer
pretty sure the whole theory behind anything "drag" is to be as light as possible. so why would you add 20-30 pounds to your quad? just move further up on the seat or even the tank, a full one, hell even put your chest over the bars at the line and start in second. anything more will lead to you changing your stock appearance. Noob Banshee
Or you could put ancors on the front!!!
NYUK
weight will only make you slower.longer swingarm.

Hi guys, I see you often use the word "sleeper". What does it exactly means? (Im Argentinian) Thanks
frocashmoney24
its a stock appearing quad, but ithe motors built, so it runs like a raped ape. never seen weights in draggin, but i saw a few mx quads, that got lightweight front ends, and tied 10 pound barbells to the front bumper to keep it down
MotulMonsta
Ahh sleepers suck. Just put on the longer swingarm and quit bitchin'..stock banshees have horrible handling manners and when you do nothing but build up the motor, you'll reach the limits of the chassis in no time. A stock motor in a setup frame is much better overall then a built motor in a stock frame.
racer
if you want to keep the front end down just try ditching some of that HP, cause that stuff sucks.
roosthrower
you could lower the front some. but I guess that would take away from the sleeper appereance.
ngelati
thanks for the answer frocashmoney24...
brock_fuzzy_69
how bout adding lead shot to the front bumper you can pour it all out when you dont want it there just make a removeable cap of somekind for the front bumper i know that we have a jbig bucket full of lead like that we got it from a shooting range when they had the trap range scraped
Minkia38
yeah - I know that the motor outperforms the chassis (I do have front works - no ressies, hidden under shock covers) But I like the look on guys faces when I beat their alcohol burners! Sure, I dont beat them all, but its just fun! The ride is a helluva lot stiffer than my +2+1 works RZbanshee But im still looking for that stock appearance, maybe a 10-15lb weight in the front bumper would let me have that extra holeshot I need..... I know a swingy would be better - but sleeper is key for THIS bike
