pipes for passion stroker

Recommended Posts

ok jim has my motor right now i am getting a 12 port 4mil stroker. My question is right now i have fmf fattys i see that everyone gets cpi`s or rockets when they get there motor. i jump alot and run around on some trail and some mx tracks. So i gusse my question is does this motor pull hard enough on the bottom to make up for the pipes

I have a 12 port stroker with Shearer Pipes. There is a pretty good spread choices.

I think your fattys would have KILLER lowend and Midrange power. I would wait and test them out before a Spent Money.

Jetted right Jim 12port stroker isSTRONG

Edit

Jetted right and Jims motor and high rpm style pipes like the shearer still pull hard on the lower half of the powerband but if it's not .....

I don't think you need a Top end pipe for mx or trails, Now Open terrian is another story.

i think you should try your pipes first and see how you like it. i had my t5's on before i got my rockets and they were really restrictive. i like how it runs much better with rockets. if you are looking for a ton of low end i dont think you should have gotten this port job. mine doesnt pull too bad down low, but it really shines on top. its jetted in perfectly and all, but it does not compare on bottom to my brothers woods port.

I agree. While Rockets are becoming known as killer pipes as well, I'd wait to see how your fatties respond. Fatties are known to be great pipes that just get better the deeper your mods go, and I'd be interested to see how they perform with that motor. Nonetheless, you have them now, before you drop more bills on pipes, might as well see how they work before you shitcan them.

Rockets seem to be some awesome pipes, and I wouldn't mind having a set.

Sredish I have question on jetting for you.

I been trying to get my pilots right. But i have mix signals or I am Not as smart as I need to be.

What does cracklin mean at 1/8 or less. Rich or lean?

My Shee has 34mm Artic Cat roundslides on it and they had 35's pilots in them. I now have 30's. When i put the 30 in and set at 2 turn out it ran Ok until it got hot than it started to cracklin. at 3/4 in It started before it got warmed up almost.

Sounds like they may be lean. If it's getting worse when you lean the airscrew, then it sounds like it's emphasizing the existing condition. Honestly, I don't really know what "cracklin" means? Is it popping or small backfiring? Both of those would lead me to believe it's a little lean at first.

Are you having to choke it when it's cold and warm to start it?

Later bro.

It got worse screwed in. and better screwed out. But the plugs will get black at low speed crusie . Example. Rideing back to camp in the 5 mph zone 1/2 mile long. it does this cracklin type poping sound Not very loud tho. I will test the range next week.

I am at a 30 pilot and i bought 27.5 and have 32.5 to I will test them Sunday I guess.

if the plugs are black after low speed cruise then you are too rich. id put the 27.5's in. actually, ive never used anything bigger than 27.5's before. im betting you are getting way too much gas. try the 27.5's
