JTQuad
I have a dock space available for my use with the condo rental. Ill be in sarasota on siesta key. My question is will i mess up my jetski if i dont pull it out of the water everyday? We arent allowed to have trailers in the condo area so i have to drop it off at a friends house and store it there. Will my New stx900 be ruined if i leave it in the water for the month? Is there any other options that anyone can think of? I have also seen the little floats that i can park up on but they are big money for a one month visit and then to haul them home. Thanks in adavance - JT P.S. Does anyone live on siesta key or down towards turtle beach?
tats4life
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SKI SETTING IN SALT WATER. over nite is ok if you really have to, the salt water will eat away at your impellor, ride plate, grate, which will in turn cause to caviate
JTQuad
i figured that but i was checkin. If i ride it everyday, then pull it out and flush it will i be ok? If i have to drive everyday to getr my jetski 15 minutes away i really dont care. Thanks Tats - JT
tats4life
yes, flush it after every ride. and if you roll it over, DO NOT HIT THE START BUTTON, get it towed back and pull your exhaust and intake plugs and replace the spark plugs. Watch for corrison on your spark plug cabs. Don't go hittin the waves at wot throttle, my buddies in a halo because he thought he could fly with the birds. But if you get your timing down you can double the waves. Or at least I could on my ultra
JTQuad
Any ideas on cheap dry docks? Even if i can home make something for a month. Thanks - JT
tats4life
i took and made a rectangle out of 2x4's. get 1 1/2 pvc pipe cut the pipe at 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock and force it onto the 2x4's. I can drive my ski right on to the dry dock at my buddies house. It's redneck as hell but it works and was real cheap. I think i spent around $100 vs $1500 for an e z port.
