roosthrower
I totally dislike anything fourstroke in a quad or dirtbike. I would much rather see a 250r whoopin on a yfz than having it the other way around. I don't care what brand it is as long as it gets things done in two strokes. I am not saying that I would rather ride a blaster than a yfz or anything, but if I had a choice between a stock 250r and a stock yfz, I would take the 250r without giving it a second thought. Wassup350
4 strokes are fun in a lot of cases. My bro has an 88 LT230 quadsport and that thing would keep up with a blaster no problem. Its wicked easy to wheelie also. Through the woods its real nice being able to just hit the gas and accelerate. I also love the 4 stroke power when it comes to 4x4s. I have 6 horses and we use a honda 4x4 300 to haul the horse shit back to the pile and there is no way i could do that with the banshee with out burning a clutch every week. New 4 strokes are very fast also, one of my good friends bought a 2003 predator and that thing is very powerful. It has a power band a lot like a shee, and can sometimes keep up with me THe only thing i really dont like about thumpers is the sound of em. Hell just think if it werent for 4 strokes we would be driving gas hog 2 stroke cars and trucks, imagine how expensive that would be!!!! racer
there heavy. thats why there good at the track because they sink into the ground. there good on 2 things, gas and going slow. have you seen the 450 swing arm? things got some weight to it. are you the recent recipient of a botched labotomy? the YFZ 450 has a dry weight of 350 lbs. thats 36 less than your shee in stock trim. and that swingarm doesnt weigh a damn thing cause it cast aluminum. they are good at the track because yamaha did a hell of a job on the suspension, not cause theyre heavy. nothing heavy is good at the track, ever. they dont sink to the ground of due to this weight either, that would be the result of how the bike is sprung. white trash
I am not bias one way or the other. I own both a 2 and 4 stroke. Both of which have their pro's and con's. I love my raptor on the woods, But get me on the dunes and i am dying to ride the shee. The 4 storkes are more user friendly, so when i take one of my less expeirenced friends with me they usually get to ride the raptor. Then as someone else had said, they complain about the shee when riding it because they cant keep it in the powerband, and are then amazed when i ride the piss out of it and blow by them
