sredish Posted July 13, 2004 Report Share Posted July 13, 2004 (edited) Hot damn fellas, thanks for the thoughts. Yep, today, the 13th, I am officially 27 years of age. That's alright, because I kinda thought for a few weeks that I was turning 28. Anyone else do that, forget how freaking old they are? My wife is a year older and I can never remember if it's me or her that's turning whatever age we're on. Guess that belongs in the oddity thread, that I can't ever remember how old I am. We are officially celebrating my b-day on Friday. Cole, my 2 year old, has his birthday on the 28th. Since he really doesn't know the difference this year, we're going to celebrate our birthday together and have a big barbecue on Friday. I'm talkin barbecue Compton-style, with chillens running everywhere, the guys over by the grill getting toasted by 2pm and the girls chasin after the kids. The party's starting at noon, so everyone here is invited. All the other kids won't be here until 5 or 6, but we'll be way ahead by then. So far, I got a new Callaway forged wedge to add to my golf arsenal, I wear those things out pretty quick. I got a new outdoor fireplace that's open on all sides to go on my back deck. It's got a copper roof/top on it and is plenty big enough to stack a shitload of wood into for those late night outdoor parties. I also got some new golf shoes, as I change golf shoes pretty regularly also. I imagine there will be a few more on Friday. Here's a pic of the fireplace: My parents and my wife don't EVER give me gifts that go in hand with my two on-going necessities, my truck and my shee. They get me golf gifts though, which is my third and safer necessity. I guess they figure, if I want it or need it, I'll get it. If they woke up and realized this, they could probably make their lives easier by buying me things I'm gonna get anyways and it's not really hard to pick me out something that includes my truck, I mean my wife knows everything that's going to happen with them, but no big deal. I used to mention it, when they'd ask me what I want, but I don't even do that anymore. Oh, but my new exhaust for my truck will be here in another day or two. Nice stainless 4" turbo-back system, I ordered it a few weeks ago, but the tip I had wanted was backordered, so rather than change tips, I just decided to wait. That's my little gift-to-myself.
