xt45
If you cruise with the shee for a long time, then it heats up. Its good for drag race only.

racer
you must cruise like my grandma, cause i can cruise all day at the dunes and never burp a bit on a totally factory cooling system.
QuadMX
Well...You SEEM like a fairly smart guy so I won't bash you TOO bad...But if you want to cruise, and you have a banshee, you are just a complete moron. They are not meant for "putt putt my ass around the yard in circles while my engine heats up". Second...I don't seem to have any problem with mine if I'm keepin a steady pace riding around. You sir, need a polaris. Edited July 12, 2004 by QuadMX
.
man, I could putt around all day long in the woods on a nice hot day and not worry about overheating. Racing tight trails in the woods is a little bit of a different story and shee gets a little warm after a good long time, and I take her somewhere to open her up for a stretch or two....or If I'm hitting hillclimb after hillclimb on a hot day, but besides that, it never runs hot for me. chipdog
wtf who tought you how to ride .you must be smoking rocks to think a banshee will heat up from just cruising. i rode in 90+ weather and had no problem with my shee drinking from overflow when it was stock and that was non stop riding. check you jetting
Otis
Mine overheats when i'm towing stuff w/ it, which is mainly what i use it for...... ..... putting around at just an off idle pace may cause it to over heat pretty quick, but like the others said, just cruisin around it shouldn't. Check it out, or have it looked at by someone. That or get the Polaris the other guy mentioned...
loganskinner
mine used to over heat, then i got a 20-fin inline cooler. never over heated since. no matter how ive ridden.

J..J.
If you cruise with the shee for a long time, then it heats up.Its good for drag race only. Do you know this from experience or are you going by what your Raptor buddies are telling you? On second thoughts, don't bother to reply, you've obviously made up your mind about what Banshees are good for.

nickxc
You sir, need a polaris exactly, get a scrambler... But then they have a disadvantage too, they are too heavy, get a raptor, but then they have a disadvantage too, they are top heavy and not very snappy, get a yfz but then the seat is too hard, get a z 400, but then they are only availabte at suzuki dealers... rotflmfao!!!! My banshee only heats up when Im pulling a trailor full of cow dung around the farm!! lol I can cruise all day at any speed all you gotta do is keep a little air on the radiator (like with anyother radiator) It needs air flow to keep it cool...
