TGYFZ450
I'm just telling you my opinion i wouldn't lie about it banshees are fast and you can mod the hell out of them thats why they will always be around but the fact is banshee's are becoming old news so face the fact Edited July 12, 2004 by TGYFZ450
tats4life
hey chip loco aint a dumb shit and he knows his stuff yeh its a banshee site but what he said was and is true and will be true untill the day there arent any yfz out there. banshee's are fast and can be made to be faster than any other quad on the market really easy but with just pipes, a head and some minor porting those yfz's are still tuff as a muther fucker to catch... so i would inform your self before bashing a respected member on these boards. hell yeah nasty. i got the best of both worlds. I would much rather have my 450 on the mx track than anything. And I've had just about every type of mx setup you can have on a shee including an outlaw. I plan on dirt drag racing my 450 next weekend, so I'll let ya now how I do against bikes just built for draggin and most if not all of them will be shee's. sredish
just pull the airbox lid, rejet and you are done. thats all thats done to mine and it screams. yeah, ok. that will happen. then it's pipe, then cam, then compression... and I'd be starting all over again. God, how much fun that would be. Really, I don't know shit about the mods for the four strokers, never had a reason to pay attention to th. That's a really bad thing to hear, loco, because it just makes me want one even more. Tell you what, I've got a 4x4 I'll trade you straight across, even has blackwaters. BTW, tats you been riding lately? i saw where you said it has been a month. whats the deal??? chipdog
you have to think about that shit ones a 350cc and the other a 450cc and one other thing, one weighs way less than the other.ill stick with my shee instead of selling out and buying a 450 that has a fuel to air matching carb so you always have max power if the banshee had that it would be unstopable no matter what. its just new technology vers old school technology.my 2 cents. end of story. Wassup350
Cant you guys see, there is no point in bashing YFZ450s or Banshees, they are both Yamahas and they both haul ass, they may be different but they both rock. What we really should be doing is bashing polaris, honda and Suzuki/kawi. Those YFZs are very fast for stock. I raced against one in an mx race and of course got beat but i bet they would still beat me in a drag depending if i go through the gears right or not. I have yet to ride one but i really would like too. I've ridden a predator and that is pretty fast and is close to my Banshee. But they are poorly engineered and i would never buy one. rebelbanshee2
locogato-if you want some free power look up the cam mod on yfzcentral. something along the lines of retarding one of the cams (i forget which) one tooth so its at YZ spec..supposed to give a pretty good power boost for no cost at all

tats4life
stroke the crank, rework the cylinder and head, new cams. It's badass!!! Duncan Racing has a 505 kit, but I think the price is a bit high.
