Seemed to wind out better, low end hesitation. I live where it can get cold, so would be concerned about seperating. How about Amsoil? He just rebuilt his top end after 2 years of hard riding, and other than lack of compression, everything looked in good shape. mrmatt Posted July 11, 2004 Report Share Posted July 11, 2004 I have been running it since my Banshee was new. I was advised to do so by a good friend that has been riding motorcyles for years. My top end lasted two years, which is about the same amount of time my friends who use Castor927 are getting on their top ends. I have never had a float in my carburetor stick, but it happens to my friends' all of the time. I don't know if it is bad luck for them, or if the 927 gums up their carbs. My buddy swears by the golden spectro and has had his she since new in 1996, has never rebuilt his top end and it still runs great. He has gone through 2 clutches and a basket and has not needed a rebuild he runs it at 40:1 and sometimes a bit leaner. Like I said he swears by it. ledofthezep Posted July 14, 2004 Report Share Posted July 14, 2004 I've ran 927 since day one without any issues, doesn't gum up at all....as far as seperation, as long as you're not riding in freezing or below temps, the 927 won't seperate. chase73 Posted October 21, 2004 Report Share Posted October 21, 2004 there are issues with the origanal blend of golden spectro it does not perform in cold weather well the oil molecues dont mix properly with fuel.
