STLbanshee
I need some new a-arms after I let a friend ride it, needless to say he wrecked it, so now I need some new arms..if I get some +2, +1s, will I need to get like some works, or peps, or something aftermarket shocks? Cause I heard that the stock shocks will be to soft with aftermarket..

ledofthezep
If you can't afford them right now you'll be ok as long as you don't ride too damn hard on them. They will bottom much easier though and will feel pretty squishy. Definately wouldn't want to jump on them much if any at all. All things said though, you'd be a lot better off with aftermarket shocks. You can get works setup for your riding style & weight that will work just fine...and at a decent price. Hell I'm still running works & they've worked out great for me soo far, but I haven't pushed them to the limit yet really either. If you got the money, I'd go elka, pep, axis...to compliment the QuickSand arms.
STLbanshee
Well first off, Im getting the american star racing arms, cause well they make the arms for quicksand, and they are cheeper then quicksands..and second, I wish I could afford shocks right now, but I cant..so I was wondering, If I bolt up a set of yfz 450 shocks, with they bolt onto the +2s, and how much work will I have to do, and second, will they still be squishy..and bottom out really bad,

evil
Well first off, Im getting the american star racing arms, cause well they make the arms for quicksand, and they are cheeper then quicksands.. please do tell where you heard this info. second, yes their are cheaper in price then the qsm arms, but the quality of them is also a hell of alot less then what you would get from a set of qsm arms, i know, seen a set of americans on a raptor buckle under minimal abuse. just food for thought
fixitrod
To tell you the truth, I won't use anything with heim joints. I see so many that are sloppy and have heard a lot about them coming apart. I'll stick with my ricky stators. About $500 As far as shocks.... I have aftermarkets. I sent them in to have them rebuilt and put stockers on. I felt like I was on a trampoline when going through the whoops. I do ride whoops hard but man, what a difference. I put it back on the truck after 5 min and waited for my shocks to get back. You best bet is to buy the a-arms you want without getting the cheapest or get the stockers off ebay. Save up and buy better shocks if you feel you need them. If it rides fine for the way you ride it, just stick with stockers. You can get the stockers pretty cheap then you won't feel like you have to buy aftermarket shocks. You will benefit from aftermarket suspension though..... tremendously.
