END OF THE BANSHEE

Recommended Posts

I was reading and it looks like the last set of production banshee's will come across the ocean December 31, 2005. With the new emissions taking effect in 2006 they will no longer make the banshee. They said that they should have enough to take them all the way through 2006 and part of 2007 then once they are all sold that will be it. What do you guys think of that?? I knew the time would come sooner or later.

typical of our self-serving government, let's fcuk up cool muscle cars by doing away with leaded gas and requiring cats and emissions compliance, let's fcuk up cool 3 and 4-wheelers by outlawing trikes and mandating all kinds of goofy guards and warning stickers, i'll give it to yamaha for not stopping in '89 like honda 250R, kawasaki Tecate, and whenever the Quadzilla's stopped being sold, course that will NEVER stop people like me from buying older vehicles and hooking them up regardless of what dipshit safety or emissions standards they think up next.... :shootself: oh yeah, wasn't that president Bush who basically repealed most EPA standards enacted under the previous administrations time in office ????? yeah exactly.... i wonder how much enforcement was done on EPA standards at his oil wells ???? or the war in Afghanistan or Iraq????? or that big fuel guzzling pig Air Force One of his, or that ridiculous 10,000 lb presidential limo with armor, 2" windows, and self-contained fresh air system ????? yeah do as i say, not as i do  not to get too political, but it just burns me up constantly being told what i can and can't do... FCUK YOU HIPPOCRITE ASSHOLE POLITICIANS !!!!!!!

Actually there were never any real reports of not making it anymore but with the "new" emission laws the banhsee cannot pass them. Why do you think a lot of jet skis arent sold now, its because they won't pass emissions. So you wait and see, 07 would be the very last year, if they have any left over from 06.

i'm not really worried if the banshee goes away for good hell there are still tons of 250R's around and its been like 14 years seince the last one was made hell they have after market cylinders cases so in 5 years i can just build a banshee from after market crap if i really wanted one hell and i'm sure in 15 years there will be things way better then banshees and quads mabey we will have them flying motorcycle things from star wars .........

god i hope so! :P , but yea banshee's will never be "gone", theres millions of them floating around, and uncountable pieces of aftermarket things for them, like mullet said, in a few years your gonna be able to make a whole banshee from afatermarket parts, if you already cant...

i dont think the govt outlaw ATC, didnt they wern people how dangerous they were and the manufactor just stopped making them for lawsuit reasons.

the 2 stroke outlaw did is way more than one thinks. first it will be atv, then chainsaws, weedeaters, jet ski blah blah. i would like to see a 4 stroke chainsaw. bet it would be heavy.

have you driving by a coal power plant. there were big epa standards on them till bush came to office now they just have to upgrade 25 % or something like that. the one plant in ks burns like 10000 a day.
