2004LEBanshee
I think I know what your talking about. There are rubber covers (not nessecarly bushing) for the bolts. I took mine apart and cant get the rubber things back in. So I am running with them out.
2004LEBanshee
They look like rubber sleves. there real thin. I beleve that you can buy them seperately. The guy at the local shop said they keep dirt out and dont really need them but they prevent wear.
frocashmoney24
sweet thanks, i figured something went in there, my prob is i put in new pads, and its loose where the bolt is, so if im pushing it it'll grab, then let go, then grab and it causes a rattle thats annoying as hell! wanna sell me the rubber piece
MotulMonsta
You won't find those parts in a breakdown anywhere. Looks to me that your caliper is already rigged..that's the wrong hdwr installed in it. Should be a pin and a black rubber seal. The brake rides on those pins and they are very important for proper brake function. I think if you look up a 1986 honda 200x they have the brake break down..yes the honda shares the same rear caliper as the banshee. Might be mistaken on the year though. The guy at the local shop said they keep dirt out and dont really need them but they prevent wear. According to Clymers, you CANNOT purchase these rubber boots. I tore one of mine, so I emailed a Nissan distributor. They said they do not support these single piston calipers. You have to buy them as a whole unit, except for the inner seals. If you do know of a place to buy these rubber boots, please let everyone here know. It would help out a lot since mine is getting full of crap everytime I ride it on a surface other than tar. Maverick302
You're probably best off buying a caliper and taking the bushings (or rubber sleeves or w/e) then reselling the caliper. When I got mine they were dryrotted to practically nothing. I just took them off another caliper and it's now firm and quiet.
