PlaynSand
This weekend was my first chance to try out my Rocket pipes. So I will start of with the install. The pipes fit great , have to trim stock exhaust tab on left side ( and fenders ) but the pipes clear the frame easily , the right side stinger tube was hitting the frame a little but just loosened the four bolts on the front of the silencer and adjusted the tube and retightened bolts , and the tube then cleared the frame. The stinger tubes attach to the silencers with four allen bolts and an o-ring seal between the two , and the holes are large enough , you can adjust the stinger tubes to clear the frame or air box. If you keep the fenders you have to trim them a lot.. These are some big a@s pipes. No more riding up on the tank with these babies.. The silencers are nice and are built from aluminum tubing it appears , no thin tin crap here. and they sound a little like Toomeys but not as high pitched. And they are louder than my LRD's but not as loud as CPI's. I was worried about what kind of lowend power I was going to have , but to my suprise .. I had great lowend , better than my LRD's , in fact this is the best bottom end power my banshee has ever had , I am even going to go up one tooth on the front , because right now first gear is totally useless. I could even ride slowly through the trails in second and third and it still had instant response . The midrange was stonger but was really hard to tell how good the midrange was because it quickly passed by and was begging for another gear. The topend pull is very good and revs way beyond my old pipes . I gained a lot of top speed with these pipes . From a few drag races I learned these pipes love to be revved , if you shift when you think you should you are only about halfway there , the power band is very wide and smooth . The only bad thing I can say about them is the tendancy to give you burn on the leg if you get up by the tank and the fuel petcock is hard to get to, but I am learning it's better to reach under the pipe, could be a problem if you have real big fingers. But overall am very pleased with the pipes and the great customer service I recieved from Minkia38.
locogato11283
this is exactly the kinda review i wanted to hear. i placed my order with minkia38 on friday and they should be shipping in the next day or so. i cant wait to get them, and combined with my passion 12 port 4 mill stroker, they should rip. ill give a review of all of it when its done, hopefully within about a week or so. man those pipes look sweeeeet
coolhead03
I just put mine on this weekend also. I replaced a set of pro circuit platinum's. I would say thay sound almost identical to the pc's but louder. i gained more power evenly all around. more revs the whole nine. In 6th at about 3/4 throttle you can hear the exhaust whistling through that huge expansion chamber. I'm happy with the product and the service thanks minkia38
