J..J.
That sucks, but I'm pretty sure that kinda shit happens more often than we know.
Otis
Yeah that kinda stuff sucks. There was a guy out here that got canned from a shop for dumping a customers' bike(while wheeling it). He was "road testing" it.... Just another reason why i dont let other people work on my sh!t.....

tats4life
i hate reading shit like that, because i'm the service manager at my shop and if one of my mechanics pulled some shit like that I'd fire'em and then let the customer beat the shit outta them. we respect peoples bikes and quads, because i have a shit load of money in both of mine
Holyman
Similar thing happened at a shop near me... stupid kid that worked at the dealership took a bike out and was speeding down a sidestreet and killed himself when he ran into a truck. They closed down for a few months and then "re-opened under new management". They still didn't last long after that. Now they're bulldozing the place to put in a coffee shop or something. My brother in law went to the same shop and it took 2 weeks to get 2 holeshots and took 3 hours to mount them and they leaked once they got 'em mounted. I went there after I wrecked my banshee with a check for $5400 in my pocket looking at a used banshee they had on the lot. When I asked if I could hear it run they took 15 minutes to tell me they couldn't find the keys, another 15 minutes to find gas for it {it already had gas in it}, and then told me they couldn't start it because the battery wasn't hooked up and then finally it was too close to closing time to start it {still 45 minutes to close}. I was there one other time when the punk in the service department was arguing with a new customer who just bought a $15,000+ cruiser about whether he got the right owners manual. He said the manual the guy wanted was an extra $35. If I sold something for 15 grand I'd throw in a $35 book Went there one time as a claims adjuster to look at a Ducati that was dropped. They had thousands of dollars worth of parts on there including a gas tank. I couldn't find even a fly speck on it so I called the manager over to look. We looked at it practically under a magnifying glass and couldn't find anthing either. So that knocked $400+ off the bill right there. Plus all the stuff he had listed on the right hand side of the bike {it fell over on the left } Needless to say, I don't know anyone who's not happy to see 'em go
Cotton eyed Joe
I just read all 14 pages of that. Its good to see that much online comradery, but it didn't seem like there was much of a turn out at the protest... I don't think that would matter as there are about 400 million people that know about Al's in Washington. I think the people will now be protesting with their wallets. I thought the posts where people said they called and asked " if they offered a burn out with their service work." and shit like that were funyy as hell. I wonder all told how many calls and e-mails they got that day. HAHA...there's a shop here that needs that. One day......
