Hockey390
This year I had a few down times.. But its an 87..what do you expect with the highly modified stuff! Now that she is on a fresh bore, the TORS are gone, and everything else is fresh.. Shouldnt be down anymore unless I start having problems with my tranny... *knock on wood*
locogato11283
no times at all, unless im makin it faster. downtime is always because im makin improvements, never because i broke it or it broke itself.
broke
no times at all, unless im makin it faster. downtime is always because im makin improvements, never because i broke it or it broke itself. I agree with that. I think somehow Banshee's got the reputation of being unreliable. I have been beating the hell out of the RZ motor since it went in last January. Still running like the day it was built. But, it has been down quite a few times this year for upgrades. So I guess if you were looking for downtime for any reason at all, then mine has already been down 4 times this year, but it has yet to break. I tend to find that the Banshees that are always broken are owned by people who don't want to take the time to learn what it takes to keep them going. Short of some chain lube, grease, trans fluid, spark plugs, and quite a bit of premix, mine hasn't cost me a penny to ride for the last 18 months. Maybe I have just been lucky, but I believe proper maintenance has helped me become lucky. broke
Wassup350
Mine has been down quite a bit, but mainly its because ive been putting more stuff on it. Plus its an 87 and i've had to replace tons of original equipment that has worn out. Now its down because i bent the stupid ass J-arm and hurt my knee the other day from flippin doing a wheelie. BansheeJerry
Mine has been pretty much bulletproof. Just stupid shit like a few months ago I had to put all new bearings in the swingarm-axle. Now my kickstarter has fell apart. For the life of me I cant understand why everybody talks shit about how unreliable a banshee is. Mine is a 2000 and has had a hard life.(my nephew ran 30 weight for premix for about 6 months before I bought it to give you an idea) Put a clutch in it last year. Thats about it.I better shut up because knowing my luck now that I said all this I will probably blow a top end next time I ride..
