MotulMonsta
So as the topic says, I'm not too hapy with Yamaha of Edison NJ. They are a bit overpriced and tag on extra charges. Not good buissiness. I brought my swingarm linkage asy there the other day to get the bushings pressed out. I had the parts, but I don't have a press..so anyways I was figuring about 50 bucks for them to do the work as they'll charge the shop time. Well, At first they told me it would cost 120 bucks and I said "your out of your fucking mind! A new link only runs around 210, no way in hell am I going to pay that price." So they dropped it down to 60 and cost of parts..So I said that better..but 60 is still a little steep..It's only like 20min worth of work. But I had the parts on hand and gave them to the guy. Well To make a long story short, I picked up my link today and saw the total was 74 bones!! That ain't right..they tagged an 11 dollar shop fee on the damn thing. I asked what this shop fee was and they said the cost of the grease..I looked at the dude and asked if he honestly thought there was 10 dollars worth of grease in the damn part. So then he came up with another bullshit answer and said "well that pays for the gas they used in the torch." Again I looked at him and smirked..No way you used 10 dollars of gas to heat this part up..besides it's aluminum. So then I talked to the shop forman and he told be because I brought my own parts, they had to charge me a shop fee of 10 dollars ontop of the 60 dollar time fee..Bullshit. It's a yamaha part at a yamaha dealer with oem replacement bushings from the factory that I've been sitting on for some time now. Never before have I had such crap blown in my face..I'm not doing bussiness with them again.
.
I dont know why dealerships are dicks like that and try to pry every dollar they can out of you. The dealership here, Montgomeryville cycle center, they are pretty fair about things, I stripped my axle and didnt have a die the right size to rethread it, so I had to go to them, and they charged me 15 bucks to do it, which is quite reasonable, took them like an hour from when they took it in till when I loaded it back up. The mechanic actually tightened up a lot of the other stuff on my shee (rear brake caliper was just snugged etc.) and said that I should go over all my bolts n stuff. Pretty fair for a change, wish every visit went as smoothly.
Cotton eyed Joe
Theres a place like that here. Layton Cycle. Back when all my buddies and me bought bikes, including rides for our wives we all told bought somewhere between 6-8 banshees there within 3 months. Not once has anyone there given any of us any type of courtesy. As soon as you walk in the door you are treated like an asshole. Well, my buddy just bought a new Kaw 636 and there were a few places he went. One place treated him like shit, another treated him very well, but he didn't even bother to check out this Layton Cycles. He knew they weren't going to work with him. The place he wound up buying his bike from was Vesco's in Brigham City. They even let him take one for a test ride!!! At Layton Cycle they won't even let you sit on them in the showroom. locogato11283
i hate places like that. ALL the dealerships here are like that. since we are bashing people id like to let everyone know that hellbound racing has the absolute worst customer service ive ever encountered. i called them last wednesday and placed an order for some pro peg nerf bars. they told me 4 to 5 days. im like cool.. so this thursday rolls around and im like wtf, no nerf bars. so i call them at about 5 o clock. the owner knows nothing of my order and says hell call me back in 15 mins. at 645 i end up calling him cuz he never calls. some dip shit answers the phone and doesnt know a fuckin thing, just says the guy had to run home and check order forms. im like wtf, why arent order forms at the shop? so they call me back the next morning at like 12 and say they are gonna check for my card number and that theyd call right back. so at 145 i call them and the dipshit answers again, sayin the owner is out and hell be back in an hour. so at 4 i end up callin them. i get the dipshit once again and he tells me the owner is not back. i tell them to f*ck off and forget about my order, then i hung up. DO NOT buy anything from them.
frocashmoney24
we have a place up here, arkport cycles, which is pretty good with your shit, they have yamaha's, honda's, polaris, and all that happy shit, i went up there got a can of chain lube, and i needed some jets, so i tell him 2 pilot and 5 mains i needed. he came back and only had 1 of the pilots and 3 of the mains, so he just charged me for the chain lube, and gave me all the jets for free, i was like sweet shit. but ive been to other places, where i go in there and they charge 5 bucks for a jet, and there dicks about it. or one place i called them on the phone, to get a new part, i had to explain to the lady what it was, and where it was, she had to get the "real" parts guy and he still couldent find it, 30 mins later they brought in the manager that finally found out the part i needed, some people just shouldent work at dealerships

BansheeJerry
Here we have Delmarva Powersports. They just opened up about 6 or so months ago. They were real easy to work with on parts when they first opened up. I called them to order some pieces for my kickstarter. All total it was $2.66 for the ball, spring and screw. Would you believe they wouldnt order the stuff until I went and paid for it. I could see if it were something that costs $20 or so. I have had them order parts for me before without paying first with no problems. So I had to ride 30 mins up there to pay $2.66.Pissed me off. They came up with the excuse that they cant track parts if it isnt paid for or some bullshit like that. I would have liked it better if they were just honest and told me they have gotten ripped off doing that rather than some bullshit excuse like that. Stealerships piss me off sometimes.
