nater006
I'm down with that! Should have the bloody thing tuned up and going fine by then... Only weekend that is bust is the first one in August.. like the 7th-8th.. for me. Any others, I am THERE. Parents live up the road only about 20 minutes but camping is fun.. Keep in mind that they're getting more anal about dB and spark molester checks.. so some exhaust changes might be necessary :\ Edited July 2, 2004 by nater006

I know a real good hotel or campground so let me know. Cool, this is exactly what we need, is a little help from a local....We could use some info on db levels, hotel and camping areas, accessability of high octane gas, food, parts etc.....can we camp in the dunes or do we have to get motels or setup at a camp ground?? John, I've been hanging around Walter too long...... What about you Meat? ARe you game? Boonman, Fixitrod, Benbb, Chase73, NYUK, Walter, Jon370, Hang1400......I don't want just a get together, I want a SANDFEST!!!!!! Bensshee
you can count me in and a few of my buddies. Alot of the info you are looking for can be found on www.silverlakesanddunes.com
doltz
O.K here is the gig..... Db level up there is 94 but they do not check that much. If they are checking for some reason you can put your quad in the truck & tell them it is broke & you are going to just play around in the truck. But you must have Spark Arrestors either way. I was up for Memorial & the 4th of July & never got checked once & I have T5's. Camping is prob. the cheapest & easiest route for everyone so I will find a campground that will block off about a dozen or so sites & I will post the ph.# for everyone to call on their own. There are nice normal campgrounds & crappy party type campgrounds tell me what you guys prefer. I prefer clean shitters... but that is just me. Shoot me some dates & I will pin point a weekend that is good for most people. I will title the post SilverFest 04. You can e-mail me at jschultz@kukausa.com for best results. Any help will be appreciated. This will be a damn good time if everyone makes the effort.
boonman
My vote is for Val-Du-Lakes campground. Camping is cheap. i will be there, just have to know the dates. DB is definitely 94, and they do check more often now. They pulled me for a DB check going in in my STOCK Super Duty Diesel. I had the shee in the back, and they never checked that, but they did check the truck . There is no camping in the dunes, well, legally that is..... But the campgrounds are not far from. There is a place to get race fuel very nearby. Alcohol, I don't know about. (the fuel, not the beverage) But, there is NO alcohol allowed in the dunes. In order to get in, you will need a $16.50 ORV pass, for each vehicle that is to go in the dunes. That means if you want to play in the truck, you will have to pay for the truck, and for the shee. You also have to pay for a daily entrance pass, which is $7 a day I believe, or a season pass, which is $29/year. There is ways around it. Especially if you have an enclosed trailer. (hint hint). I am down, as will be others. (the people that came with me to coalfest). I will likely bring the family as well.
