Flywheel removal?

Recommended Posts

what part cant you get off? the flywheel, or the nut on it..?

The nut comes off first, best way is an impact wrench with someone holding onto the flywheel.. Next is the flywheel itself, you must use the banshee specific puller like everyone else said... Sometimes it doesnt come off easy, but dont be shy, put some force into it!

If you tried, even for a moment with a jaw type puller, the flywheel is junk. DO NOT USE AJAW PULLER!!!! Get the right tool for the job!!!!!!!!!

....unless ya just so happen to get extremely lucky and bend it balenced ;) Impossible though. Saw a flywheel on fleabay a while back with jaw marks on the backside. Guy even advertised it as that but said "it will work fine!".. as your bike rattles to pieces, blows your crank to pieces, and whatever else...
