nebraskabanshee
I got my engine out heads off, but i cannot get the flywheel off. I have a flywheel puller for most things that need to be pulled or do u need some special remover? I even tried the impact and wouldnt budge. Please help
Holyman
You have to use the right puller or you may not get the flywheel off without warping it. The puller is usually under $20 and a new flywheel is a in of $45 and hopefully IT wasn't taken off the wrong way.
SICK BOY
Use the right flywheel puller, lube it up,and a few taps with a plastic coated hammer and......POP.
nater006
Do not use a jaw-type puller as it'll muck up the flywheel! There is a special puller. Its got reverse threads and an inner bolt that threads in to pop the flywheel off. They're like.. $10-20 on fleabay, at the stealership, or online. Hockey390
what part cant you get off? the flywheel, or the nut on it..? The nut comes off first, best way is an impact wrench with someone holding onto the flywheel.. Next is the flywheel itself, you must use the banshee specific puller like everyone else said... Sometimes it doesnt come off easy, but dont be shy, put some force into it!

boonman
If you tried, even for a moment with a jaw type puller, the flywheel is junk. DO NOT USE AJAW PULLER!!!! Get the right tool for the job!!!!!!!!!

Get the right tool for the job!!!!!!!!! ....unless ya just so happen to get extremely lucky and bend it balenced Impossible though. Saw a flywheel on fleabay a while back with jaw marks on the backside. Guy even advertised it as that but said "it will work fine!".. as your bike rattles to pieces, blows your crank to pieces, and whatever else... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=43972 though ya can't really see the marks.. wouldn't even take the chance.
